The new X6 seems to have a slightly shorter and wider grille than it’s platform mate, the X5. It just looks a bit less bizarre. Maybe I just got used to these crazy grilles.

Even with the big grille, I really enjoy the new X5. I think the rest of the X6 looks awful in comparison, but will hold final judgement til seeing one in person.

They’ve steadily been going downhill since they decided to put a wider grille on the E34.

E26 did it best...

I like the new tail lamp design on their SUV coupes, but the front end is just too much grille for me.

In my opinion they are both overstyled. It’s just a lot of mess that makes up an angry face. Of the current BMW’s, only the 5-series has a front I could like.

I agree on the X4, but this new X6 just seems a little much front & back. I will say I’ve never been a Mercedes g uy, but I keep seeing new GLE’s and think they look excellent.

I love the wide snout of the E34 though. Its a big nice moustache that fits the character of the V8. The I6 cars should’ve stayed with the smaller grills though
